A childhood dream, now a life’s work.

Chris began his arborist career at nineteen with The Canopy Crew under renowned treehouse builder Django Kroner. The apprenticeship crossed Ohio, Kentucky, and North Carolina—and became the foundation for work that blends arboriculture, climbing, and creative building.

After ten years working in tree canopies around the country, he still sees every project as a collaboration between people and living trees.

Do you work outside Lake Tahoe?

Yes. Good Nature Treehouse travels for consultation and construction and builds all over the country. Travel and accommodation are included clearly in your quote.

How long does a typical project take?

Timelines depend on scope, location, and complexity. After an initial conversation and site visit, you’ll receive a realistic schedule for your specific project.

How do budgets work?

Every project is custom. Cost reflects design complexity, materials, location, and logistics. Budget is discussed early so expectations stay aligned from the beginning.

Are your structures safe for kids?

Safety and tree health are core priorities. Structures use professional arborist standards, engineered attachment systems, and a practical understanding of how children move and play.

Do you use prefabrication?

When it benefits the build, yes. Prefabricating components can improve precision, safety, and efficiency before elements are raised into the trees.
